Straubinger Solid Silver Headjoint

Straubinger headjoints are used by principal flutists in major orchestras worldwide and are revered for their projection, dynamic range, and exceptional evenness across all registers. This solid silver example is fitted specifically for a Haynes commercial flute body — an important detail for prospective buyers, as the fit may not be compatible with all flute bodies without adjustment. Notably, this headjoint carries no serial number — Straubinger began formally serializing their headjoints in the early years of the company (founded around 1989-90), which suggests this piece may date to the very beginning of production, or potentially predates the company entirely as a prototype or early commission. The full provenance is unknown, making it an intriguing piece for the right player or collector. Excellent playing condition.
