Private Lessons & Mentorship

I’ve spent my career wearing a lot of musical hats, and one of the most valuable things I’ve learned is that the really interesting stuff happens when the boundaries between disciplines start to disappear. Playing informs composing. Composing informs arranging. Technology opens creative doors you didn’t even know existed. And curiosity, more than anything else, keeps the whole thing moving forward.

That’s the philosophy I bring to teaching.

I offer private instruction both online and in person at my New York City studio, working with musicians of all levels who want to deepen their understanding, sharpen their skills, and expand their creative possibilities.

My teaching covers a broad range of subjects, including saxophone, jazz improvisation, arranging and orchestration, composition, EWI, music technology, and audio production, recording, and mixing.

Lessons are tailored to your individual goals, interests, and experience. Whether you’re looking to refine your playing, develop your compositional voice, explore new technology, or take your production skills further, we’ll focus on the techniques, concepts, and practical applications that matter most to you.

Sessions typically run 60–90 minutes, with rates starting at $150 per lesson.

If you’re ready to take your music-making to a whole new level, get in touch. Let’s get to work.
