1951 Verne Q. Powell Handmade Commercial Flute

Serial #1016. Here is a chance to own a spectacular example of an early four digit Powell. From 1951, this flute represents what is considered by many to be the golden age of flute making, especially for Powell and Haynes flutes. Sterling silver, drawn tone holes, .018" tubing, Traditional Powell Scale, A-440, French cups, B foot joint, in-line G, gold embouchure. The flute is in a new mahogany case, as the original case was disintegrating. (Note that in the photos there are plugs in a few of the keys, as I generally play a commercial closed hole Haynes.)
