Modded Apex 460 Tube Condenser Mic

this microphone was also modded by my Studio tech Ricki Began. He did a complete modification of the diaphragm and electronics for the mic, and modifications to the transformers in the power supply. The difference between a stock 460 and this microphone is quite astounding. The Apex 460 is a large-diaphragm tube microphone with multi-pattern selector and power supply. A well-loved workhorse that responds beautifully to classic mods — even stock, it's a surprisingly musical mic. I use this mostly for recording Woodwinds, and it sounds great.
